Equipment Leasing Broker Toronto

I’m Martin Reid, the proud owner of The Leasing Game.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I began engaging with leasing brokers in the mid-nineties when I launched The Leasing Game. My regular interactions with these salespeople gave me a strong foothold in industrial credit and allowed me to present their credit deals to banks and build strong connections with them. Today, they’ve become comfortable working with me, and are pleased to help my clients as I only work on a success fee basis.

Before The Leasing Game, I built a background in the field of credit. I have been Vice President Credit for Canadian Dominion Leasing Ltd (small ticket), Bank of Montreal Leasing (corporate leasing), Triathlon (middle ticket, corporate and fleet), and Add Capital (higher risk). My experiences, along with my desire to keep my clients’ business ticking, have led to a successful venture through The Leasing Game.

When connecting clients to leasing and financing companies, the team and I first understand our client’s story and accordingly work to get them a credit approval for their equipment needs. We take the time to overcome the negatives they are facing and find out how they can succeed to present a valid case that gets them an approval from the bank.

Following these steps allows us to provide the deal underwriter with the client’s full story so we can ethically provide equipment leasing and financing solutions to the client.

One of our biggest victories so far was convincing a major company in the transport business to consolidate their financial statements to enable a significant equipment line of credit with a bank. This immediately helped them replace the high rate financing, which they had been obtaining.

When I am not at work, I like to engage in a bit of photography and staying fit by cycling. Besides this, I also actively work towards assisting the homeless in my community and those less fortunate with barely enough to make ends meet.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
